In preparing my courses, I aim to meet students where they are and then support their growth. I ensure the materials assigned match students’ abilities and encourage continued curiosity in the discipline. I have taught in online-asynchronous, online-synchronous, hybrid, and in-person settings. With each modality, I have adapted my approach to best use the available technologies.

I appreciated that she sent emails weekly about what assignments were due and when. I also like that we could contact her on the discussion board if we had questions. “The Zoom classes were extremely instructive on course material and the papers were helpful in applying it to situations. The canvas discussions actually worked as a small–scale version of the papers as well, which was great. They were fun to write too! As far as the classes, the polls especially made class more engaging.”

She immediately reached back out and gave me an extension on the assignments and offered her condolences without me having asked for an extension.
