In preparing my courses, I aim to meet students where they are and then support their growth. I ensure the materials assigned match students’ abilities and encourage continued curiosity in the discipline. I have taught in online-asynchronous, online-synchronous, hybrid, and in-person settings. With each modality, I have adapted my approach to best use the available technologies.

Student Testimony
“Dr. Grenier is an excellent teacher, and all information was clearly organized and easy to follow, and any questions that were posed were answered with depth and professionalism,”
“Dr. Grenier is an absolute light to the Political Science department and Emory & Henry as a whole. Her knowledge of comparative politics and political science makes her an excellent professor, coupled with her kindness and openness to discussion. She is a fantastic professor who truly cares about her students, which she shows every single class period. Additionally, she does such a wonderful job at presenting all information in class in an easy-to-digest way, no matter how difficult the material might be.”
“Dr. Grenier is a fantastic professor with an even better understanding of Political Philosophy. She made this class easy to digest and retain information from, drawing upon the critical foundational philosophers. She is amazing in all fronts, and I wouldn’t have wanted to take this course with any other professor.”
“Dr. Grenier has been one of the best instructors in my life, not just college, even though she was virtual. She was very willing and open to reexplaining topics that were not understood the first time and was always trying to make sure that her students were gaining benefit from the material. That is what teaching is all about and Dr. Grenier exemplifies this perfectly.”
“The instructor was amazing. During every lecture you could tell that she was interested and cared about the topic she was discussing, which made the information more interesting. I appreciated that she sent emails weekly about what assignments were due and when. I also like that we could contact her on the discussion board if we had questions. She was easy to reach, and always responded quickly to emails.”
“The Zoom classes were extremely instructive on course material and the papers were helpful in applying it to situations. The canvas discussions actually worked as a small–scale version of the papers as well, which was great. They were fun to write too! As far as the classes, the polls especially made class more engaging.”
“She checked in with me in the middle of the semester and I expressed to her that I was having a hard time because a relative of mine had passed away and I was falling behind in my classes. She immediately reached back out and gave me an extension on the assignments and offered her condolences without me having asked for an extension. Her compassion and patience helped me to succeed and was something that I didn’t even know I needed at the time.”
“Professor Grenier took time at the start of the semester to meet with me and help me with resources on how to succeed with the class. If it wasn’t for her encouragement and honest rubric feedback, I would not have grown in my other classes or been able to stay in school. I look forward to hopefully taking more classes from her in the future.”
